By emphasizing the Napoleon icon, advertising first established Courvoisier's fashion credentials and seeding teams partied with Busta Rhymes, who considered L'Esprit de Napoleon (cognac blended from Napoleon's private collection of Courvoisier from 1815) 'bling' enough to pen the hit record 'Pass The Courvoisier.' And it became credible enough for V Magazine to put it on their front cover.
